But you have to sign up for a Power Vision plan, which is more expensive
than the regular Vision.
By the way, I tried the A900, and had to return it because of these
problems:
- Didn't work properly with Bluetooth in my car (was impossible to transfer
address book, and even answering calls from the car wouldn't always work).
- Very poor battery life. Wasn't enough to last through the day for me.
- When there is an incoming call, the screen would light up very quickly,
but then it would be a couple of seconds before the phone would start
ringing.
This last one I don't understand. The phone knew there was an incoming
call, so why would it wait? It sometimes takes me some time to find
where the phone is, or to get to a convenient moment while driving, and
the more time the phone simply wastes, the more calls will go to VM.
There were a few other small annoyances, which I don't recall now, but
the Bluetooth was the main deal breaker for me (that was my main reason
for getting the phone).
Also I'm going to post a separate message about the problems I had
returning the phone with the Sprint's 14 days guarantee.

Maybe just a luck of the draw, but my wife's A900 exhibits none of the
problems that you mentioned.
In addition, while she, too, had to sign up for Power Vision, she soon
"downgraded" to a more basic Vision plan.

Hm. I was told that you cannot have regular vision plan with a power
vision phone (I thought that it's because the phone's capable of using
more bandwidth, so they charge more -- didn't think they were able to
limit the bandwidth). Good to know this is not the case, for when I'm
ready to try moving up again.

This has been my biggest complaint, when it come to Sprint CS... Lack
of consistency.
If one CS Rep doesn't give you what you want, just keep calling until
you find one that will!

This seems to work okay with my A900 and the UConnect bluetooth feature
in my Dodge.

I've heard some A900's have this problem. Mine isn't so bad. I would
like for the battery to last longer, but for me the battery life is
adequate. I have found that the battery meter does fluctuate though;
after a lengthy call the battery meter will show the battery as almost
discharged, but will then recover a few minutes later.
For me, the battery life experience is about on-par with the RAZR. It
seems like for such a thin phone, battery size (and thus capacity) takes
a hit.

This problem I don't have at all. Are you using a custom ringtone?
There might be a pause in the ringtone itself, that's causing this.
What I DO like about the A900 is that Samsung appears to realize that
some of us are in a business setting, and would like to have a simple,
no-nonsense ringer. Most other equipment makers have removed
traditional ringers altogether. The A900 has an ample supply of these
built in (along with an assortment of fruity ringtones as well, for
those who want them).

That's an incredible turnaround for someone who wrote, just a week ago,
"I'm within my 14 day trial and didn't port my number. Their P.O.S.
MM-A900 is going back."
Apparently it hasn't gone back... yet (still time for another
flip-flop).
