Hi,
Previously I had the Sanyo VM4500. I loved this phone. It was loud
(the way I like it), had a great speaker phone, I was used to the
menus, there was not one complaint I had about it.
That model is discontinued, and, I decided to upgrade. So, I went with
the Samsung A900. Wow! What a piece of ****! I have almost nothing
good to say about this phone. There is almost nothing I like about it.
In fact, the only things I do like are the Bluetooth, and the Audio
SMS.
So, I am going to go back to Sanyo, but I'll need to keep the Sprint
Power Vision Pack in order to keep the Audio SMS. But, there are no
models like the VM 4500 in terms of looks. I really do not like the
look of the new models from Sanyo that workwith the Powervision Pack.
But the Sanyo MVP is a very similar model, but I'm not sure if it works
with Sprint. Anyone?
Comments anyone?
Thanks!

Re: Sprint phones.......can't they get it right?
The way I understand it, the MVP better known in sprint circles as the
MM-9000 is a model that sprint USE to sell, very much like your beloved
"VM4500" it too is no longer offered, but you may still ofcourse be
able to find them online, ebay purhaps? The phone was picked up for
use by ESPN mobile, which uses......surprise.... Spints network. The
only thing is I am not 100% sure that one can be activated on a Sprint
account, unless it is one of the older ones that was specifically made
for sprint, It seems that most of the time it is necessary for sprint
to have the ESN in their database of ESN's to be activated on their
network. It sounds funny to me too as espn uses their network, but it
is my understanding at least that the same thing applies to other MVNO
phones as well such as Boost mobile or Virgin which also use sprints
network. A call in to speak directly to tech support should clear up
my supposition, i definitely suggest this before purchase. call
1-888-211-4727 when prompted why you are calling say "wirless web" this
should get you straight through to tech support without a stop to
regular customer service first.
