"roamed out of home region" -- updating profile 700p

All of a sudden my treo 700p won't allow access to the web. I get a "You
have roamed out of your home region...."
I haven't moved in months. I called sprint and the young lady told me to
hit the menu button -- choose settings -- data vision -- update profile --
and she would call me on my home phone in 15 to 20 minutes.
The menu button does not bring up anything remotely similar to what she said
it would and like an idiot I sitting by the phone hour after hour waiting
for the call.

I have Power Vision. I can access my email and I can use the phone. I have
plenty of bars with blue stars and the phone does not show roaming. It
will not let me access any web sites including sprint.com

Can someone explain how to update my profile on a treo 700p?

Has anyone had a similar experience with the "... roamed out of your home
region ..." message?
