"Nextel isn't dead; it's just changing networks. Sprint CEO Dan Hesse
made a passionate defense of Sprint's 'push-to-talk' capabilities in a
keynote address today, backing up his words with six new phones and the
first Nextel smart phone in more than a year."
"'One capability that makes Sprint unique is the push-to-talk network
that sets the gold standard,' Hesse said. 'We think the [PTT] 'button'
is so powerful, that we're launching it on our CDMA network in the next
quarter. The button helps collaboration and productivity,' he said."
