    Hey, since it's on topic, how about software that let you put a regular
    music CD into the computer's CD drive, pick any song, strip any part of it
    and make that a ringtone?

    There is something like that at http://myphonefiles.com, but it is in beta
    testing right now any only paid members have access to download it...

    isn't that what Qualcomm Purevoice does?

    you can goto www.3gupload.com sign up and download a real song for your
    ringtone..

    follow the directions on this site to convert an mp3 to qcp ringtone
    but don't bother following the link to get the older version of winamp
    as it doesn't work- download winamp 2.81 from oldversion.com

    No, Qualcomm converts specific WAV format to purevoice - it doesnt convert
    music on audio CDs to ringtones.
