SamsungSprint Phone: SelfLocked? Help! (thanks)

A460....I cannot get anything to respond to depressing of a button (any button-
digit, menu, OK, etc.) It's as if the phone has locked itself. Actually it
will resond to the END key to power up the phone after removing the battery in
an effort to reset the thing. After powering it's making a low siren sound /
constant ring when powering up and RINGER/VOL> screen will light up....and the
phone is unresponsive to anything. If I close the phone the ring goes away,
scree shot of ringer goes away...and the phone seems fine...rings...keeps
accuate time..etc...however if called I cannot answer it as it's
non-responsive.

Commone problems w/A460?

I take it you have had this phone for awhile and used it normally. It does
sound like it's been locked, either by you accidently or by someone else on
purpose. SPCS might be able to unlock the phone by resetting it either by
calling from a landline to 888-211-4727 or by taking it down to a SPCS
store.
