Anyone got information that is actually useful on the G1000; with
sources other than Sprint or he manual that Hitachi provides. I don't
care if it's bulky, it seems to perform alot just based on the technical
specs given. I've already out grown my 8100 reconfigured the speaker on
the back to function as a speaker phone, and getting info on installing
soft/hard ware for an FM radio. I NEED to know if anyone else has this
phone and has seriously tinkered with it, or tried anything (any apps
for video recording?, I know the 3650 from nokia does for unlimited
recording...video). I need the PPC because I'm only home 6 hours of the
day and always on the go. (I know this is alot) One more thing I got My
Vision service back in late May, would i be charged per min for using my
Soon TO be PPC on my laptop for wireless Internet or is it unlimited; i
heard that there is a contract difference with anyone who recently got
service with sprint in reference to Vision/ wireless data. I hope i can
use it with unlimited data connectivity. PLEASE SOME ONE RESPOND I
NEED TO KNOW WITH IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS, I HAVE A DEAL GOING DOWN TO GET IT
BRAND NEW AND EVERYTHING FOR $400.00.

This device can't do video capture like the 3650 can. Also, it has
terrible battery life (like six hours tops), so unless you're in your
car a lot I would not buy this device.

It does not matter when you first got vision. Using the phone as
    a modem is not allowed.

    The good:

Speedy 400MHz processor (heh, I thought I'd never say that again!) -
large screen makes for a great browsing experience - $30 for unlimited
    data (PDA device).

Built in camera with a swivel, take pics of yourself or people in the
other direction. Not bad quality, either.

Built in keyboard with an optional touchscreen keyboard (incase the
hardware one goes) - QWERTY setup

    Speakerphone has good quality

Additional mini-flash card port (whats it called - about the size of a
    SIM card)

    Pocket PC OS

    The bad:

Screen is large, looks like it could break easily

    Pocket PC OS

    Handset is heavy

Battery life doesn't seem to last as long as it should, and no car
charger packaged with it like the Treo.

    The ugly:

Its HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE. NORAD is picking these things up on their
    radar!

$650 hurts the wallet, but you said you can get it for $400 - not bad
    for a new one
