I ordered a data cable off Ebay for around $35. It came with a CD and
all the software I needed. I recommend it highly. I've heard talk about
a $20 cable at Radio Shack with mixed results.

And you CAN get a data connection on you VGA1000/A620?

(If so, that blows the claim out of the water that phones were being
discontinued because they could be used as modems... the A620 is new).

I was wondering if I can use a cable with my A620 to transfer pics from
my phone to my PC? If so, do I need to purchase software in addition
    to the cable?

I'm curious about data cable for A620 too. If you experienced with using
a data cable with the A620, please tell us all you can about it. Mainly,
does it transfer data between your laptop and phone. And about what kind
of software is needed or not needed, etc.
