What PCS phones does Costco have? I can't get there until next week
to look for myself.
I posted in an earlier thread that I had to replace a broken 4900. I
am not paying more then $150 for a used one on ebay or from an unknown
online retailer. The 8100 would be good but the price just went up to
$229, the N400 seems like the only other choice. There does not seem
to be many options for color Vision phones. This is for my third line
so I think I am going to wait it out but It sucks paying $20 for the
service when I do not have a phone.

Add $36 to the price of a brand new Sprint phone. Even under existing
contracts, Sprint will charge you an activation fee if you don't renew your
contract for a couple of years.

I am fully aware of your postings today and yesterday and on Aug 27th
about potential activation fees, infact I even had a reply in the same
thread. You did have a bad experience but I don't think it should
resurface itself in every single new thread in the newsgroup for the
next month.

No, just until the correct Sprint bill arrives. Hey, I'm doing you a
service. Switch to AT&T or Verizon.

And we are counting the days until that happens.

Although, as much fun as it is schooling Rob, I may stick around.

What service? Your reply had nothing to do with his problem. You didn't even
answer the question.

There are ways to get around the activation fee. The website is one way
(activate.sprintpcs.com)...if that doesn't work, call them and tell them the
website didn't work and you want to activate for free. Keep trying until you
get a rep who will do it for you for free (without extending your contract).

Re: Costco phones or suggestion
I have a 4900 that is in mint condition... was used for 2 months then I got
a 5800.
If you can post a means to contact you I'll give my Ebay info and setup a
private transaction if you want for $125 shipped. Original box and
everything that shipped with it. I could box the phone up along with the
sealed manual and paperwork and no one could tell this phone has been used
if I didn't tell them.

Before you tell people, about a bad experience you may or may not have
had; why don't you alert them to something useful.
Doug

You haven't "schooled" anything, Justin.

Shhh, Paul. That kind of standard only applies to *others*, not to him.
Hasn't he "schooled" on that yet?

New folks are constantly reading this newsgroup. If SprintPCS is
charging activation fees in situations where someone might not think
they would that needs to be posted.
I notw with interst you said nothing about someone saying "Don't get a
Samsung N400". Double standard?
And whats the deal there. That phone has been generally panned by so
many postings here, why is it being sold if its so bad?
