There are no sprint stores in the Everett- Seattle area so how does one
go about getting in business with them? I think Radio Shack offers both
Verizon and Sprint but there are very small selections to choose from.
An RS salesperson told me that Boeing has a tower but I live beyond the
two mile limit of most towers.
Can anyone tell me how good Sprint service is in Washington state? How
do I even find a direct contact store to do business with?
I currently have Cingular service, it is good enough, but it is very
    limited when traveling.

There are no Sprint Stores north of I-15 in California, either. Here it's
Radio Shack, although the city of Victorville is in talks to develop the
final big parcel of retail-zoned land and is supposed to be working to
    get a Sprint Store here.

North of Redlands/Rancho Cucamonga on 15, I think you have to hit Las
Vegas before you find any more Sprint company stores.

Radio Shack sells Sprint, though. Either Best Buy or Circuit City recently
dropped Sprint in favor of Verizon, but I believe whichever one it is, the
    other one still sells Sprint.

I think either OfficeMax or Staples also sells SPCS but I could be wrong
    about that.

There may be some smaller authorized retailers in your area too.

Your best bet is to go to the Sprint PCS website and plug in your zipcode.

Somehow, it doesn't surprise me that SPCS doesn't have a presence in
Seattle -- T-Mobile's US corporate HQ is there, as is AT&T Wireless's
    corporate HQ.

Isn't Kirkland in Washington? Visit a Costco, they have better pricing than
the Sprint stores and a better return policy too! Try a phone everywhere
you'd want to use one during the trial period. If it isn't right for you
    return it.

There are in fact at least 3 and probably more Sprint stores in this area.

Downtown Seattle, Bel/Red Crossroads area, & on 196th in Lynnwood. Others in
    South Seattle/Tacoma area i'm sure.

Service covers most of the Puget Sound area, north to the Canadian border
and all along I-5 to Portland. On I-90 clear across the state with a few
    short exceptions.

You do not need a Sprint Store. I have a Sprint PCS internet access card,
the Novatel Merlin C201 that you can buy most anywhere. I saw it and a
bunch of phones in Fry's in Renton today but I bought mine in a Circuit
City store and activated it over the phone. The other poster mentioned
Costco and they have one of those in Mountlake Terrace on 99 as well. I do
believe there may be one even closer to you. I worked at the Everett 777
flightline prior to my layoff and most everyone got good coverage there
with various providers except I was at the very southmost part of the
Everett Flightline and had AT&T at that time with a StarTac and it was very
marginal at times. I am currently in Newcastle on the Southeast part of
Lake Washington and I get a five bar signal here with Sprint. There are a
lot of cell towers in Washington State it seems. My parents live in Lacey
and I had my setup there for a few weeks and they live in a dead zone that
Verizon has the best signal there. My old AT&T phone wasn't worth a darn
there but my PCS card with no external antenna, worked inside an aluminum
trailer parked in an aluminum shop/garage. I'm accessing the same PCS
network that you would be on a phone so you should get as good or better
than I do with my card that has no fold out antenna. It does have a jack to
run cable to a real antenna though. Basically, buy from who gives you a
good price and activate it by phone. It'll be a lot easier this way.

As much as they are sometimes optimistic, start by going to the
SprintPCS website and looking at their coverage maps. Then check other
    companies coverage maps:
Cingular, Verizon. If you travel a lot, you may have a unique
combination of places to visit that might be hard for any one person to
    give you an answer on.

When you say SprintPCS Service, do you mean coverage, which is often
excellent in a relative sense, or customer service, whichh sometimes
    gives folks fits?

Can I rephrase, please? There are no Sprint Stores north
of Redlands on I-15 in California. At least not as far as I know.

Of course, Phillpe has to throw a wrench into the thread. He already
    wants SPCS.
