This is by what should be available in most stores over the next month.
    Current handsets only:

LG1200 - Its cheap. Bad track record for LG would make me stray from
    this one.

Nokia 3585 / 3585i - battery life could be better, no data, but does
seem to be doing well, not many come back with a defect. Too bad the
    faceplates are $20-$30.

Samsung (Samsuck) N400- Eh, buy one get one free, its still a ripoff.
Poor battery life -- if you have a good one, be happy. Luckily, a lot
of the bugs were fixed in previous software updates.

Samsung A460 - inexpensive flip phone. A lot of screen issues. I'm
wondering if Samsung remembers how to make a flip phone like the 8500.

Samsung A500 - get past the bugs from the recent software update - good
    phone. Fair battery life.

    Samsung A600 - OK - I am fearful of the swivel flip, I think I'll see a
lot coming in with a broken or defective flip, and Samsung will not
    cover it under warranty.

Samsung A620 - OK. Fast processor, good inexpensive built-in camera
    phone.

Samsung I500 - if this phone stays good, it will be a great handset.
Powerful processor in a small package.

Sanyo 5300 - great phone. Good battery life - may not be as durable as
previous Sanyo models, but still very good.

Sanyo 8100- great phone - good battery life, fast processor for Vision
games (I use Jamdat Bowling as a tester for this). Durable but no flash
or zoom. Voice memo is OK, but rarely used.

AudioVox 9155 (few left floating around - clearance now in xome markets
ar $19.99!) - good phone. Bulky, OK speaker phone, but I don't see many
    coming in.

AudioVox / Toshiba 2032 - Expensive. Good screen size.

Handspring Treo - 3 words: Piece of ****. I see so many coming in its
    not funny.

Hitachi P300 - good phone, good battery life, good reception. I have
only seen one come in, and it was corroded beyond belief.

Hitachi G1000 - Kickass. If it stays good, Pocket PC, camera,
    flash-memory card, great all-round robust phone. $799 (I think)
pricetag is high, but worth it.

Reception - Sanyo, Hitachi, Samsung lead the pack.

Battery life - Sanyo and Hitachi lead. AUdiovox isn't bad either.
    Samsung's numbers are a joke.

Durability - Sanyo leads by far. Audiovox is a distant second. Hitachi
    is a close third.

Sound quality - All but LG are good.

Track record - Sanyo leads by far. Samsung distant #2 (Hitachi and
Audiovox / Toshiba are too new to Sprint to be judged, but are doing
well). Kyocera and LG are in the pits.

    What about the Sanyo 6400?
