That's a good point. We might not upgrade discontinued phones. Or=20
maybe only Vision/3G phones.

Most Sprint phones have the ability to do true SMS, but that feature is disabled by the manufacturer, at the request of Sprint. In theory a firmware upgrade would enable SMS on existing phones, but odds are Sprint won't do this. I bet they only offer SM
S on new phones, to get more money out of us.
