So how would Phill now when Sprint is going to have SMS? Insiders don't
    even know, certainly Phill doesn't.

Many folks only want a color screen now.

I guess. the screen black and white or color does not affect the phone

Of course it does. They have different current useage, and customer
    purchase rates.

I am sorry I thought that a black and white screen and color screen would
get the same reception and sound quality

They may, but again they may sell at different rates, and have different
    battery useage.

Re: Sprint officially announces Nokia 3588i

I had the 3585i for a couple of weeks and then traded with my parents
who live nearby for their 3588i. I think I lost in the deal. Here's
    why:

The color screen is almost impossible to read without the backlight.
    (The 3585i is easy)

The color screen is hard to read in direct sunlight.
    (The 3585i is easy)

The new button style of the 3588i is harder to use for large finger
    men.

As for the 3588i's wallpaper, it makes reading the screen harder and
    is a useless option.

I like the silver color of the 3588i's case a bit better, but I think
it's more of a lady's color then a man's color. Dark gray or black
    would be a nice option.

The only reason I wanted the 3588i is because of the hopes of MO-SMS.
And I already had the Nokia Pop-Port headset (the ONLY way to go -
DON'T use univeral 2.5mm headsets!), Nokia Charging Stand, Nokia Car
Cord and Nokia Sideways leather belt holster. (I got all of these OEM
supplies for about $52 delivered - The charging stand alone at the
    Sprint store is $40.)

If you don't plan on using text messaging, see if you can still find
the 3585i from Sprint or from someone else who wants to trade up. The
3588i is NOT worth the extra $50. It works as well as the 3585i, but
the screen is the phones real downfall. And until Sprint offers SMS,
there is NO reason to buy the 3588i over the 3585i (I am speaking as
    an owner of both phones.)

    God Bless - Jorgy!
