Since the 1200 has no browser, I rarely encounter it. So, too, the=20
1010. But I *can* say the LG's with browsers have been among the lowest=20
drivers of calls to Vision and Wireless Web tech support.

Right, I'll bet you don't remember the batch of 5350s that had to be
manually programmed throught the keypad/or the UPST as they would not go
    IOTA.

Hmm. One batch of phones sent with improper software. Run the refurb=20
software tool on them, and they work.

One issue with one limited run of phones makes the whole model line bad?

OK, now lets ask TechGeek for his opinion of the 5350. How about them
40min+ software upgrades (if the phone lives).

Now you're using generic characteristics as criticism of one model line? =
    =20
A software update of my N400 took about 75 minutes on a slow day. =20
Before that, the Sanyo 4900 took 45. So a 40 minute software upgrade=20
for the 5350 doesn't seem so awful compared to the other phones.

Those times are more abysmally slow that I have ever seen. I expect
that either of those handset to take about 20 minutes ( if you are first
in line, it goes downhill from there). If it takes that long to update
a phone now multiply that by the three angry customers that just came in
at the same time. traditionally the LG 5350 takes forever to update
(around 45 minutes). Most stores have only one UPST machine to work on
phones, if one phone take out a machine for 45 minutes, imagine how much
work stacks up ( and angry customers). Now just think of the poor guy
that tied that machine up for 45 minutes and all of the other jobs that
    are stacking up.

And now think of all the other LG pieces of **** that Sprint has sold
and not even the decency to issue a reall on them, espically the 1010,
which did go back to the manufacturer. Not so bad, huh. How come
Sprint hasn't introduced any new LG phones?

Actually, if a 1010 starts searching for service and won't acquire, it's=20
a covered replacement item, even now, long beyond the MFR warranty. =20
Sounds like we *are* dealing with them.

But as a company you are not dealing with this pro actively. You will
wait for the handset to fail (and it will), then ship the customer the
finest "discontinued" phone from Solectron that you had remanufactured,
instead of doing the right thing (and possibly reaping some good will
points) by getting these defects waiting for a place to happen out of
the hands of customers. Most car manufacturers learned that when
something goes horribly wrong with a car it is cheaper in the long run
to fix it than deal with the lawsuits after the fact. (and it is
possible someone will not be able to dial 911 on theri sprint phone
    because of a known defect)

Regrettably even that is not the case. After Ralph Nader, the
Government passed laws that if an automotive defect was safety
related, the Government could force a recall. Don't you remeber how
Ford fought against recalling its Killer Firestone tires?

With SprintPCS not being profittable, the bean counters will not allow
them the luxury of doing the right thing. When the Black Samsung 8500,
was found not to work in Analog mode, Sprint notified no one, but
would upon complaint swap it for the "improved" silver model. And
presumably someone somewhere got in trouble because they couldn't roam
    and couldn't call 911.

A recent survey reported that 90% of consumers think Big American
Corporations have too much power. You have put your finger on one of
    the reasons for that.

No, we send them new phones. I've sent a customer a 3585i. In fact, that =
    and=20
the A460 (up until the 3585i was itself discontinued) have been free=20

    them remain happy with it.

Re: Why is Free & Clear America pricing not published?

the 1010 is WLNP Compliant, But that was not the issue. The issue was
that the LG 1010 was a poorly engineered product that has serious
reliability issues, that if left unresolved could leave sprint legally
liable for damages. Sprint PCS knows that the LG 1010 has these issues
and was able to convince the manufacturer Lucky Goldstar to take the
equipment back that was not sold. However the equipment in the field
has not been recalled but instead the unsuspecting customers are left
with equipment that is known to be defective.

Haven't you wondered why Sprint hasn't ordered equipment from LG
lately(but is willing to feed the crap LG1200 to people), Verizon has
their camera phone with the OLED display, why doesn't Sprint?
