I was wondering what ways there are for existing customers to get the
free or discounted nokia 3588i. I know about not having switched
phones in more than 18 months, but i don't qualify for that. I called
sprint and they said that if i traded in my Samsugn A-460 I could get
the nokia for $120. I thought i might be able to change plans and sign
a new contract, but not sure if that will work. Should i just wait
until WNP has been out and see what happens? Also, does the Nokia have
any advanatages over the 460. Right now i just use it as a voice only
phone. I had a 6185 and liked the menu setup on it, but as we all
know, a lot of them sucked pretty bad. Anyway, if any of you think its
worth it, please let me know.

Nothin ever pleases u people.. they come out with a decent upgrade program,
but since u havent had your phone for 18 months, your just gonna wait to lnp
and threaten to cancel... its people like that is the reason there are so
few deals or offers for existing customer.. If your phone is still working
wait out the rest of your 18 months and THEN get the nokia it aint all that
    anyways

The Samsung A-460 as you should be well aware is a SprintPCS phone with "known
    issues".

Ok, number 1, i never said i was going to threaten to cancel when lnp
comes out. I said I was looking into just getting a new phone. Not
changing providers. Do not ever assume about what I am going to do.
Number 2, most people do not wait a year and half to get a new phone.
Back when the service first started perhaps. But with the release of
new technology so quickly, most people want what ever is new. I being
one of them. I don't care if my phone still works, if I want a new
phone, then I will find the cheapest possible way of getting it.
