Re: Samsung i700
The Samsung I700, like the Kyocera 7135 and the Sony T608 is a phone that was
announced by Sprint, and then never delivered.
If you must have a Samsung I700, Verizon is selling it to be used on their
network.

We never announced the 7135. And using the T608 in the past tense is also=

wrong. It is still active in our system, although there's no news availabl=

me on its release.

Well go read all the posts from Sprint employees on February 7, 2003 that said
it would be out shortly.

So is Sobol wrong or is Vargas wrong?

Sure. Oh wait, there aren't any.
The T608 isn't dead yet. There are links to a known issues database, it is=

our tech support tracker tool, and our phone device department still report=

it.

If you knew how to use Google, you'd find them all, thats why I gave the date.

Apparently cause Sprint hasnt gotten around to deleting it from its database
yet..
Sobol says its not coming. Your argument is with him, not me.

Re: Samsung i700
It was on display at the Vision kick off meeting in Milw. It
looked like a model that I might buy when my current phone dies. Funny
how phones that do not pass Sprint PCS' test get picked up by verizon. hihi

Nice SPIN. SprintPCS is free to carry or not carry any phone, but when they
have press releases announcing
Sanyo i700
Kyocera 7135
Sony T608;
and then never officially explain why they are not
carried, or even announce that they won't be carried, it could well be for
other good reasons, like
+ Co-op Advertising Allowance
+ Discounts on Volume
+ Volume purchase committments
+ Delivery Schedule
+ Warranty Rules
other than merely "passing tests". And even then a phone that may not work well
at 1900 MHz may be near perfect at 900 MHz .
P.S. Back in January Kyocera on its web site was listing SprintPCS as one who
would carry the 7135.

Re: Samsung i700
The phone is coming, that is the last American CDMA phone SE is producing
and they are taking there time with it. Once SE produces it it will be for
sale.

Re: Samsung i700
Brandt says the T608 is coming. Of course he also told us that Handspring would
not sell the Treo 600 to end users, so his sources are suspect.

I have never said anything about Treo, the 600, or selling of it.

Phil's not real good at finding sources- they get in the way of his ranting.

Actually, to Phill's credit, when they reinforce what he's saying, he's=20
actually quite religious about posting URL's *and* at least partial quotes.=
=20
That's what makes it especially noteworthy when he suddenly expects those w=
