username and password

I have a new Handspring Treo and am trying to setup my mail program.
I am being asked for the username and password.
Is the username my phone number, spintpcs email address or what??

Username is your email name, minus the "@sprintpcs" part. Be sure to go=20
to our web site and setup and email password for yourself. If you're=20
using an email program on the Treo, or if the web link is asking for=20
one, that's the one you need.
