A very good apologistic experience.....
Just checked my mid-month usage - it said I exceeded my
500 minute plan by 100 minutes! Web site said I couldn't
view my usage due to a recent plan change.
1) I consistently have 200 minutes left over each month, so
that means I use 300 out of my 500 minute plan.
2) With 100 minutes over, it means I used twice my average.
3) Its mid way through my month.
This all would mean I'm using my minutes FOUR times as much.
CS explained that calls before 9:00 PM and web access might
explain this and offered to increase my plan to 700 minutes.
I said this really wouldn't help me as I usually half 200
minutes left over each month.
Now when he mentioned web access, I said that it was supposed
to have been added. I explicitly asked for it added - it
wasn't.
He said when I get my bill, mark off all my Wireless Web
minutes and I could get credit for it - no problem there.
But if I continued using my phone, I would still be using
overtime minutes. He suggested not using my phone for the
rest of the month. I countered with, let me use my phone
and you give me credit for overtime.
He gave me an extra 180 minute allotment for the rest of
my month. I'm happy.

Have you called back to see if the minutes are actually on your account?

Yup...Called and said "Could you tell me how many minutes I have left
on my plan for this month." (Expecting to have to tell my whole story
again)
He told me right off I had 180 courtesy minutes.

Re: Exceeded my minutes
So because you exceeded your usage one month, no fault of Sprint PCS, you
feel you deserve more than you signed up for at no cost to you?
When you get in a car accident and say rear end another car, do you *****
and moan for the person that got hit by you to take the blame and fix their
own car as well as yours?

Did you even bother to read all of my post????
I SAID that THEY failed to add Wireless Web to the account.
CS admited that it was documented as removing Vision and adding
Wireless Web, but it didn't get applied to the account.
It was THEIR fault it wasn't added, not mine.
So YES....I deserve the extra 180 minutes. Notice that I did not
try to take advantage of them. My typical usage would have still
left me with about 150 to 170 minutes left by mid month.

Sad commentary on reliability of SprintPCS Customer Service that you knew it
would be prudent to call back and make sure what they said would happened
actually happened. An of course extra calls like that cost Sprint money to
handle, but its their own fault.

Re: Exceeded my minutes
Keep in mind that having wireless web on the account will still take
away your minutes when you are on the wireless web, it just removes
the $0.39 charge per minute. If you have a vision phone it wouldnt
have taken away from your minutes with or without the vision service
added. Either way, you used your minutes. However, there is no
excuse for not being able to check your minutes mid month after having
made a plan change.

I was using Wireless Web on the weekends. Should not have taken away
from my minutes.

Only if you have unlimited nights and weekends.
The old 2G wireless web will take away your minutes, even if you have
the "unlimited" plan, like stated before, it just removes the $.39 /
min charge.
If you have the Vision (3G) web, then no minutes will be charged,
billing goes by the KiloByte.

So then you went over your minutes with voice calls. Doesnt sound too
much like this would have been sprint's fault not adding the wireless
web. By them not adding it, did this force you to make more voice
calls to complain to family and friends? If this is the case, I'd
reccomend you get PCS 2 PCS calling and have them get PCS phones!
