Verizon bill constantly a mess, anyone else?


A few month ago we signed up for the family share plan, 2 phones for
$59.99 a month. . Besides the service in our area stinks even though the
map says it's covered the billing problems are just as bad.


I actually have to sit down for a half hour or so to try and figure out
what they did. I am lucky that the usage hasnt gone over the allowances
or it would even be worse.

All I see in the bill is credits and charges, credits and charges.

They charge you $20 for the extra line and then they give you $18.50
credit and then charge you another $20
Naturally the bill is always wrong and the final price is$10 to $20 more
then it's supposed to be

Every month we have to contact them and they supposedly fix it and they
claim I will get a normal bill next month but still it persists.


Am I the only one with these problems?
Is this what I will have to do every month?

For the little use we use the phones I would have been better off with
Virgin Mobile prepay

I have carried Verizon for 2 1/2 years and have only had one billing mishap
for around $10 that was taken care of. I have sold Verizon for almost 2
years, so of course I have seen alot of bills. Most mistakes I have seen
weren't from billing system but from human error ie: Rep putting in wrong
codes, etc. Hopefully they will get you straight. If they are contantly
making changes on it, thats why their are credits showing on the bill.

I boughtthesame service plan and Verizon neglected to put both phones
on th same plan.
I got two bills totally $180.

I phones and complained and they said it would be fixed on the next
bill.

always make certain customer service rep,gets it right when you are at
store or on phone,they make mistakes easily when they get in a hurry
trying to get you done so they can go on to next customer.if you change
something always make a call next day to make certain they got it right.

I've had a few problems too. Once, when doing and allegedly "ez-move", I had
to change to a current plan the rep said. During this switch, nobody put
free long distance on my bill though it should have been included. Instead
of my usual $45.13, it was nearly $380 for one month. This was after my
sixth month with Verizon.

Right when I picked up my phone and plan about a year and a half ago, the
indirect agent either erred or intentionally sneaked a $10 additional
monthly charge for 1000 M2M on my bill. This was when M2M wasn't included
gratis.

My roommate, recently switching to Verizon, got a family share plan with
three phones. Instead of having the 1000 M2M that was requested, he got
unlimited family M2M. That was a billing hassle for him. This was after one
month with Verizon.

Calling in and asking for billing adjustments results in "charges and
credits, charges and credits"...how else do you expect them to correct
your bill?

Have you noticed all these "errors" are in Verizons favor? If it was
truly errors there should be a 50/50 chance the error would be in the
customers favor.

I suspect these are a troll to find out if they can raise theprice
without the customert detecting it.

Ditto Safeway. The checkers constantly make errors in price. Always
in Safeways favor.

I think industry has figured out a way to increase their cash flow.

I have had billing issues with every change of plan, every "free" phone.
The right and left hands do not communicate very well at Verizon.
Normal airtime is just fine. It is the extras that they do not handle
well as you have found.

just got 2 mistakes to my account,taken care of today,1st had switch out
of 720 phone for lg4400,with option of 15 days to switch to one other
phone if 4400 didnt work out,so went to switch since the 4400 was acting
up,was going to try v60p since i like motorola phones except 720 since
it is junk,well they switched me out for v60p,took lg4400 back,then csr.
said she needed to talk to manager,then manager came out and told me i
would have to pay 240.00 for v60p phone,i said no,and asked for a
different 4400 then,she said she couldnt give me 4400.so i went ahead
and took v60p phone with a charge on my account,then email executive
services back to contact person who authorized me to be able to switch
phones,because 720 was junk,switched out 6 times in just one month in
july,couldnt get girl who authorized it,kept getting other people who
kept saying things other than what i was told could do,still have e-mail
for it,as i tried more to get hold of girl,more the csr.got smart assed
on there replys to me.so i had enough,got address for regional president
and sent certified letter to him on this matter,was contacted thursday
9/4/03 by rep.of his,matter settled,new lg4400 sent to me with leather
case,car charger,extended battery,received fed ex today 9/8/03.that
settled,next problem was bill for 445.00 or so with eqipment pay off for
equipment that was returned.called csr 2 times and e-mailed about 3
times since friday on this problem,called this morning,did not know
about this,so i called presidents rep,left message,he called me around
lunch time,talked,said he would check on this,called me back around 2:39
pm today,problem handled,account straight for know.started to think i
was still with sprint and there monthly screw ups.but verizon
straightend it out fast after talked to some one other than customer
service reps,who seemed to not to be able to do anything,but bad mouth
me.know im going to work on getting each rep.that was involved
fired,still have all e-mails and had them certified by federal agency as
being from verizonwireless.so know csr.will see what can be done when
you want to treat a customer like s it,just trying to get stuff straight
and they want to play games,well ill have last laugh know. so if you
have problems and csr dont want to help,send letter to regional
president for your area,can find on verizon site under contact,which is
e-mail for customer service but scroll down and it will give name of
your regional president.good luck.

I know it's considered impolite in most newsgroups to flame spelling,
grammar, etcetera (a policy I highly disagree with because that kind of
sloppy sh*t REALLY grates on my nerves, but which I live with for the sake
of peace and harmony), but could you do me just one little favor? Just put
spaces after your commas and periods. That's all. Your spelling is pretty
good and I can live without capitals and apostrophes. Just do that one
thing and I can rest easy.

You actually believe Verizon cares about those customer service reps who
give you the runaround and work you over emotionally? The CIA could
learn from these companies about how to break down people. It's
considered an attribute they want in their employees, just the same as
the other phone companies want. Are you a naive tree hugging bunny
hugger idealist? Be an idealist, yes, but you certainly are coming up
with some poor conclusions about how things are occuring and you aren't
going to achieve anything that way. Write your congressman. Who knows,
you might have a good one and he might be getting contacted by enough
others like you to make a difference.
