Yes, it's a common "feature". Many will say that it is a problem with
the battery contacts that causes the problem, but I had it happen on a
3035 with no battery attached, only hooked up to an A/C charger.
Therefore, I suspect it's a firmware problem. Get used to it, or get
another model. I've never had it reboot during a call (furthering my
suspicion of a firmware flaw), so I can live with it. And
fortunately, I found out VZW offers an extended warranty for $1.99/mo,
so I signed up before my Kyocera warranty ran out.
And if you put one on a A/C charger while it is on, it sometimes shuts
itself off after the battery finishes charging. The 3035 is the worst
phone I've ever loved.
BTW, if you happen to see the phone when it reboots, it displays a 5
character code before the display blinks out. If you happen to catch
the code, post a message here to my attention and let me know what
your code says so I can rehash this issue with Kyocera.
