T730 internet access cable problem


Just wanted to pass along there is an issue with the USB cable for the
T730. Verizon sold me the cable for $70. Apparently the cable is for
the T720, but was suppose to work with the T730. Only there is an
intermittant problem with the laptop not recognizing the modem. And
requires removing the modem and readding each time you want to access
the internet. Not a huge deal but quite annoying. I was not told of
this issue when I bought the phone and cable. Customer service says
they know about the problem and working on a new cable. I hope it is
here soon...this is annoying.

I would have bought a different phone had I known of this issue before
the 15 days was over.

Have you tried using Motorola's USB modem driver?

I used the software for the USB modem that Verizon provided.

Can I get a copy of that driver? The one that came with my cable isn't
working & I don't want to send it back...bought off the net. Sees like
there is some update floating around.

I don't think you can download attachments from a Yahoo account. If
not, give me (rukbat at optonline dot net) a real email address and
I'll email you the files.
