Really messed up port

Well, finally decided to go from SprintPCS to Verizon. Ordered the
LG-VX4400 through an employer discount plan. Arrived Friday. No
instructions on how to activate. Called, they said simple, dial *228 and
send. Press 1. Would not program.
After at least a dozen useless customer service phone calls, finally got
someone in the porting center who appeared to take ownership of the problem.
Said it would be all set today (Sunday). First thing this morning tried to
program phone. Still nothing. Tried my old SprintPCS phone, won't work at
all. Cannot call into it or out of it or even logon to my old account.
Call Verizon again. They said no porting over the weekend. Interesting how
they could de-activate my old account but cannot activate the new account.
Off to a really bad start. I am sure we can get this taken care of on
Monday, but don't count on porting over the weekend, at least based on my
experience.
If it weren't for Verizons excellent coverage (we have another Verizon
phone), I'd be really aggrivated.

Re: Really messed up port

Read my letter to Seidenberg the pres of Verizon. They suck. If you have
problems call their corp. headquarters and ask for his aide, You will get
the highest escalation that way. But they are so screwed up the execs get
jacked around by the porting morons.
