Before I answer how long, a bit of history. I used to personally have
cingular and a moto t720, and work for a computer repair and cell phone
sales business. I installed a cellsocket since I was at work every day and
it was handy for me to be able to charge the phone while working, and use a
regular cordless phone and headset while working on machines instead of
trying to hold that little cell thing up to my head. We have a high speed
network and an 802.11b hotspot area at work, so I didn't need internet on
the cell phone at that time. We are both a Verizon and Cellsocket dealer at
work. About a month ago, (before it was available for retail sale) we
started testing the Verizon version of the cellsocket, with one of the
phones we had for sale (the moto v120e) and the costs paid for by the
company. That essentially let me use both the work provided cell phone with
regular phones in the office, and both low speed qwk2net and higher speed
Express/NA connections when I went onsite and did service calls. Since I
used the older version of cellsocket at work and loved it, and we were
already dealers for the older model, it was good for both use and sales for
me to use the new one.
At any rate, to answer your question, I used the older one for about 6
months (with Cingular and the Moto T720), and now the newer one on verizon
for about a month <with Verizon and the Moto v120E> (I was a tester, it has
only been available commercially for about a week, sorry about the long
history, but didn't want to sound like a liar making impossible statements).
You had asked in the header about the best Docking Station for the T720, I
feel the cellsocket is the best, but since this is a verizon NG, I tried to
let you know that only certain older/obsolete models would even work on
Verizon, and you may want to consider looking at other/newer/(IMO)better
models of cell phones, since the t720 isn't even sold by verizon anymore due
to multiple problems, and has been replaced.
