I have the AC400 plan and am in the San Diego market if that makes a
difference in the answers for any of these questions.

If you use call forwarding or no answer transfer are you charged anything or
does it just subtract from your minutes? The reason I ask is with ATTWS I
was charged 10cents/minute, regardless of my calling plan.

Can I use Verizons high speed network (1rxxt) in my offpeak and weekend time
    without incuring any charges?

    Thanks for your time!

There is a feature code that allows you to use the high speed network
(1xrtt) without incurring any additional charges. The feature code you want
to request is "1XPP1" search for it in the forum and you'll here how/why.
But here is the rest of the story you won't find there.

This feature came out in 2003, and was originally a "free" option, in that
it just used your minutes. Charges depended upon your plan and time of
day/day of week usage. The data team told me that the `1XPP1' feature was
never intended to be a generic minute use of 1x, but a prelude to phone
usage that depends on 1x, like "picture phones". According to the data
team; their computers "routinely" check plans, looking for the feature code,
and compares it to the type of phone you have. So, if you have the 1XPP1
feature code, it will look to see if your phone/features require it, like a
picture phone for example. If your phone/feature does NOT require it, then
it will remove the feature from your account. <duh>.

I have the code on my phone, and I don't have a picture phones. There is a
chance that an automated "search/destroy" may remove the feature code. But
then, I'll call back, and get it back on. Hope this helps.

If this is the case, I hope/assume that the LG VX4400 is an "approved"
phone for the MOU feature code, since its most recent firmware uses
the 1X network for Mobile Web and GIN.

It doesn't matter for me, personally...I signed up for the unlimited
NationalAccess plan. I do a lot of traveling and use the 1X data
connection as basically my primary connection while on the road, like
    right now.

Newer GetItNow-enabled phones can use 1x data for this function , and this
is considered another "approved" use for the 1xPP1 feature in addition
to picture messaging, according to the VZW data people I've talked to. In
fact people are reporting that the VX4000 with version 10 software seems
to REQUIRE 1x data for its Get It Now and Mobile Web browser to work.
