Voice Message Service - Short Cut?

I would like to be able to get to my "voice messages" easily. Right
now, you dial the number and it asks you to enter your mailbox (phone
number) and then your password. Is there someway to shorten that
process? Oh yea, I'm using my verizon cell phone to access.

Thanks for your help.

You can program a speed dial key to dial the number, pause, dial your
mailbox, pause, then dial your password. Depending on your phone you
might be able to reprogram your voice mail key to dial that.

Thanks for the advice. I'm using a Verizon VX-6000 when I call my
home number for messages. I'll take a look at the manual.

Thanks!

Assuming that you want to call your cell phone's voice mail box, you hit the
down cursor key (messages), 6 (msg settings), then 8 (edit voice mailbox #),
then enter your cell phone number (with area code), followed by two or three
capital T's (timed 2 second pauses), followed by your PIN number, followed
by #.

So it would look like this when you get done '0000000000TTPIN#'. Substitute
your own number for the zeroes, and your own PIN number. You will have to
switch to alpha mode to get the two capital Ts in there.

There is another benefit to that, in most markets it counts as a M2M call
rather than your anytime minutes. (it assumes you are calling another cell
phone since you are calling your own number).

I was gonna mention that, but I have heard that *86 is gonna be counted as a
M2M (or as they put it now 'in network') call...

SORRY - I'm calling my "home" voice mail using my cell phone while
away from the house. Sorry for the confusion...

Figured it out - the VX-6000 has a "pause" value. I just set the
"Pause" to 5 seconds and plug'd in my other numbers - it works!
