Advice needed on which phone.....

I have been a Nextel customer for the last several years and I have
finally decided to ditch them (I live in the DC area and I am tired of
dropped calls & spotty coverage). Ideally, the next phone that I get
has the following functions:

- I must have a way to sync the calendar with Outlook (what additional
softwre will i need>
- Ability to use it as a modem with laptop
- Speaker phone would be nice
- GPS would be a nice bonus

Any suggestions.

TIA

Re: Advice needed on which phone.....

Ron,

I have the Samsung i600. It does all that you've listed but there's a
price. AND, although I like my i600 and I'm glad I bought it, Smartphone
2002 has its first version problems. In case you don't know Smartphone is
Microsoft's Pocket PC OS for cell phones.

BTW, I'm also in the DC area and switched from ATT to Verizon about 4 months
ago. Verizons coverage is by far the best in the area IMO.

Re: Advice needed on which phone.....

Yes, I looked at the i600 and I like what it offered. I also looked
at all the complaints that people were having with the OS. Any idea
when MS releases 2003 phone OS? Will it be a free upgrade for the
folks who paid for 2002?

Thanks for your input.

Ron
