Help needed on Kyocera 6035

I have a 6035 that I just did a firmware upgrade on (from the lbocean
site). Now when I attempt to turn the phone on, as soon as the verizon
logo is done coming on, the phone turns off, and if I go into the
Dialer application, and power it on there, I can see it say real
quickly something like "Service required. Contact Provider"
I don't know if this is a possibility, but I MAY have selected one of
the wrong QCN file (possibly an older one).

Is there an easy fix for this? I've started over about a dozen times
on this...

Thanks.

I assume you tried a soft-reset since the upgrade ?

If not, please try this.

Yes.. soft and hard reset.. I can occasionally get the phone to power
up, but then it sits at "Searching"...

Re: Help needed on Kyocera 6035

I've run into problems in the past (overclocking my 6035) where I thought I
killed the phone, but a hard reset always worked for me.

Here's some guesses off the top of my head:
- Of course, you can try reloading the images for the phone and palm side.
Sounds like you can't do that from the state the phone is currently in or
that you tried to no avail.

- Hard reset, then remove the battery and let it sit long enough to go
completely dead. i.e. When you startup after a hard reset you should be
seeing a message about copying the image from NVRAM (non volitile memory)

- Try dialing the programming sequence and see if that can connect
(unlikely). i.e. *22801 for B-side verizon markets. This will select
Verizon programming even when your PRL is hosed.

- Other that that, assuming it has a bad PRL, you could manually load
another one with the PST software. i.e. pick another 2-4K .bin file i.e.
50018.bin...

Can't do a *228 as the phone portion wouldn't load. Tried loading
another bin, no go. Took it to verizon, they took the phone and mailed
me a refurbished 6035.
