I wouldn't buy a phone that isn't approved by the
FCC, which the Asian
models almost definitely aren't. You're actually breaking the law if you use
such a phone - the
FCC can be anal about stuff like that regarding radio
broadcasts, and a cell phone is a radio transmitter (you talk over the air-
waves).
Technology is the same and Asian
CDMA might even run on the same frequencies;
but the regulatory issues might nail you.
