Having Verizon DSL on my other account it is called Naked DSL. it is
available presently to business customers like myself. However its
kind of a stupid offer to business since I need the voice and fax
features and had them first on my business lines.
DSL came after. But I have heard via the 0.verizon newsgroup that it
does not work at present where they are offering it, or it does not
work as it should. However the offshoot of government regulations is
that the telco's will have to provide this breaking up of high speed
access from any telephone line since the bells are losing customers at
a very alarming rate. (800,000 alone in the last quarter in New York)
Now with the Voip services cropping up and the cable companies now
offer telephone service the advent of the home phone is about to be
declined to very low levels. The bells will have to offer separate
wanted services over the bundled services they now offer.
