I've been experiencing a gradual loss of talk time on my Audiovox 9155.
Matter of fact, on analog, talk time has dropped to about 3 minutes tops!

Even though I am eligible for a New Every 2 allowance next month and I
really like that CDM 9900, I need a battery now. Retail pricing around here
has the battery priced at $39. Seems a bit rich! Are the batteries I see
for sale on eBay the same critter? I'd much rather pay $7 + shipping than
    $39.

Call Verizon and ask if you can have an early upgrade phone for your new
every two. I had called them about 1.5 mo early and they let me have one. I
had upgraded my service to include 2 phones and that may have helped but you
will never know if you don't ask.

The policy is that you can upgrade and get New Every Two within two months of
    your contract end date.

I bought brand new original equipment batteries for my LG VX4400 on E-Bay.
The price I paid was a whole lot less than buying then from VZW or Radio
    Shack.

Try to buy original equipment batteries.
There were a lot of after market batteries also for sale.
Do not know how well they might work or if they might cause any problem.

    Philip;

Just upgraded three phones using the new every 2 plan and all were
about a month early. Very easy.

For $8 on Ebay I got a new battery that has been perfect, a car charger and
    travel charger.

Yes I know about that. November 26 is -two- months early which is the limit
on early renewal AND getting the New Every 2 allowance.

Ok, I found my battery on eBay. Actually, LOTS of them for my phone. They
look just like my OEM battery but for the "Made in Taiwan" instead of "Made
in Japan" on the cover. Ok, I try one. :-)

YMMV be I ordered batteries on 3 different occasions for different phones on
ebay. The first time the battery was much thicker than the original and
wouldn't fit in the charger or holster. The second time the battery fit and
worked. The third time I emailed the vendor and the battery they sent was
    still too thick

If you add up return postage or just tossing the useless clones it would be
cheaper to walk in and pay list.
