How can I upload a .wav file?

Is there anybody out there who can tell me how to upload a .wav file
that I could then use as a ringtone on my vx 4500?

I've figured out how to use a specialty website to upload .jpg files as
background screens, but that location (pictavision) doesn't support .wav
files.

Try converting the .wav file to an .mp3 file.. Most phones that support
uploaded sounds support .mid and .mp3, but not .wav (since the .wav file is
uncompressed and takes up a relatively large amount of space compared to an
..mp3 file).

I see no mention of that on that website, only pics and videos. And even
assuming that you are correct, what happens if you do manage to upload a
..wav file to your phone, but it only works with .mp3 and .mid files? .wav
format is uncompressed and is very inefficient of space (especially in a
cell phone context)..
