#1 | | Guest | I just got the LG 8000 phone. NICE, VERY NICE. It has lots of features on
it. Here is all the info I found out so far using the phone.
1. When connected to Get it Now or mobile web the signal drops down to 2
bars. But Get it now and mobile web can still be accessed. When I first got
the phone Mobile web and Get it now did not connect . I had to call CS and
the did some thing on there end to get it working.
2. Can not get any video, shows, news clips, movies, ect or what ever you
are suppose to view on the phone.
3. Get it now apps and mobile web downloads and runs fast. It dose not
take any time at all to download apps
4. Camera - The camera and Video feature of the phone is very good. Nice
Picture.
5. Speaker phone. The speaker phone feature works good. Nice clear sound.
Current SW version : T80VZ04
PRL : 50253
ERI: 3
Browser Ver. : 6.2.3.1
Get is Now ver. 2.1.3.8
That is all the info I have about this phone. Over all I like this phone. I
would recommend it any one to get it.

#2 | | Guest | I've got it too. Only thing I can't figure out yet is how to work the
speakerphone. Haven't tried the video clips but they did give me 2 months
of VCast free when I signed up today. I figured I might as well use the two
free months and then just cancel before I get charged. I also want to get a
USB cable so I can get any pics and/or videos off the camera without having
to pay for each one. I saw one advertised for about $15 + shipping
( http://www.tangshop.com/lg-vx7000-vx...ata-cable.html).
Looks like a good deal. The only thing I don't like is that it didn't even
come with a holster. You figure that Verizon could at least throw one in.
The last two phones I had came with them.

#3 | | Guest | Just a small addition to my previous message. Two other things that are
frustrating me is that the manual doesn't explain all the options/settings
for the camera and video. Also, I recorded a sound for a ringtone but I
want to delete it and I can't figure it out. Still a drop-dead awesome
phone. Finally, somehow I've got web access on the phone. Didn't sign up
for it so I don't know if it's part of the VCast 2 months free thing but if
they charge me for using it, I'll tell them to drop it and remove charges
because I never said I'd sign up. Still, drop-dead awesome phone. Loving
it big time.

#6 | | Guest | To use the speaker phone you have to press and hone the 2nd button on the
left of the phone that has CLR on the top and a picture of a speaker on it
while you are in a phone call.
I figured out the Vcast. Work very nice. vary vary little lag and the sound
it great.

The LG8000 is a nice phone but still has bugs. I did have the LG7000
and the camera in still and video works better than the 8000. Note LG
and verizon are having a problem--the phone will NOT take a picture
when set to the highest resolution 1.3 pix if you have also activated
VCAst it has something to do with EVDO. Consequently, one of the main
features of the phone is high resolution still images, but it won't
work at all if VCast is activated. Considering that Vcast is free for
two months, your phone won't take high resolution images as LG
indicates in the literature and inside the clam part of the phone. LG
is working on the problem--so they claim and Verizon has received
updates concerning the problem. They hope to have a software fix.
Additionally, the camera on the LG8000 sucks compared to the LG7000.
The 7000 works much better with clearer images. Again LG is aware of
the problem and they are attempting to fix the problem. Main point
Vcast works excellent, but camera is screwed up. Maybe you should wait
till the bugs are worked out.

I agree with you about the Hi Res having a problem. However, this is
not all the time. I have many instances where it worked fine.
Mine took the picture but I couldn't save it. Now it does save it 80%
of the time. The thing I don't like about the camera is the flash,
it's a joke!
It just doesn't work. The camera works great outdoors or indoors
however you need to adjust the brightness to correct the situation
otherwise it's too light or too dark and you need to remain still while
taking the photo.
First Priority, get a Leather case right away. You don't want to drop
this phone!! Everything else about the phone is excellent! Video
clips are fantastic!
It works great and has tons of features, It's pretty funny that you can
record your own ringers or voice for a ringer. All the features are
excellent.
A cable to connect your computer to it and software has not been
released yet. Although it 's packed with features and big screen, the
battery lasts forever.

net for data transfer. Visit LG.HowardForums.com for info on how to
hack your 8000.
