You should be able to do it. Call and ask for business accounts (they
handle the group plans) and they should be able to help you. FWIW, my union
cancelled their group plan with VZW about eight years ago ($9 discount per
line). I have switched plans many times over the years and have always
retained the discount. The trick is, you have to ask to keep the discount
when you make the change.
What's really nice is that they even extended the discount to additional
lines on my AC Family Share account. As a result, I have three lines
sharing 500 minutes for a total of $52.99 per month.
