VX8000 Voicemail Ringtone Keeps Changing to "Low Beep Once"

Hey!

I LOVE THIS PHONE...

only one problem.. well two problems...

1. the voicemail ringtone never stays on what i set it to for long. It
works for about the first alert or so, then its right back to 'low beep
once' even though a completley different ringtone is Still set in the
sounds>alerits>voice

annd

2. If you use the speakerphone during a conversation and forget to turn
it off, you might close the flip and on the next call open it and put
it right to your ear for a mind shattering supprise, goddamn that thing
gets loud.

so is there any way to perminantly change my voicemail ring? and is
there a way to shut off speaker when the phone is closed (so it has to
be reactivated like a nextel)
