sending pictures from phone to computer

The guy at the store told me i could email pictures from my phone to my
computer. I tried and it told me it failed. Do I need to do something
special? I have the unlimited text/pix for $5/month in addition to vcast for
$15.

I just tried it with my V710 and the picture arrived at my Comcast mail
account in Outlook Express with no problem..

And I don't have any special pix/text message package either.

You might help yourself more if you said which phone model and what kind of
computer (PC or MAC, etc) you were trying to send it to. Also which internet
service provider you're trying to use. Did you try to send the pic to a
normal type email account (not AOL or other such garbage)??

I have the vx8100(lg) and a dell computer. I was sending it to my
comcast.net account.

The phone told you that it failed?? Did you try to send the picture again
after the first failure? Did the message appear in your outbox on the phone
after the failure??

MY question is, how the hell did he get unlimited txt/pix for $5 a
month? The current offerings only give you 100 of either for $5.

i'm in an alltel area. My phone sends fine when i'm in an verizon area but
when i come back home it says it failed when i try to send a picture
message.

Let me see if I have this right. You're a VZW customer, but when you 'come
back home' you're in an alltel area?? That doesn't sound good and why didn't
you state that to begin with?

Is the phone staying in digital mode in that Alltel area?

I guess this means that you better be in a VZW native coverage area if you
want to send pix messages..

Unlimited txt and pix are only for sending between VZW phones.
