switching to verizon. best phone, to download "free" stuff?

switching to verizon. Need to find the best flip phone for downloading
stuff onto it. I heard the V710 that verizon sells is limited by
verizon itself. Is this true?.

If so, what's the best phone from verizon, so that with a usb cable
that I get off ebay, I can easily download all sorts of easily
accessible (usually free) software, ringtone, etc..

Get the LG VX6000, I got one and I bought the USB Cable to tranfer
custom made mp3 ringtones, and pictures. But I just bought a Treo650 so
I wont be needing it now so I just put it away.
But LG VX6000 its a great phone.

Yeah, I've got the VX6100... I think the only difference is that it has a
"flash" white LED on the front. Hrm... there must be *some* other
difference... but yeah, I've been very happy with that phone as well. No
problems sending/receiving pix/tones/mp3s/SMS/addy book/etc using BitPim.
Good stuff, that app.
