When Ameritech Cellular first went digital, was it TDMA or
CDMA?
If it was TDMA, then the Chicago market had to be converted to
CDMA when it
was spun off to GTE, which soon folded into Verizon Wireless.
OTOH, if it was
CDMA, then everywhere except Chicago had to convert to TDMA
to be merged into what became Cingular.
Just curious.
