Have used mw4u on three Verizon phones in the past two years.
Latest is my new e815. Beautiful!
I can't speak to how it works technically, but it works. Well.
Yes, they tie the account to a phone number. If the phone doesn't have an
active number, no good.
You'll have to pay for each phone you want to connect to them.
From my contacts with "them", it seems like pretty much a one-man operation,
but he's right on the money, answers e-mails, and gets the job done. David
has sent me step-by-step directions to get me connected each time I get a
new phone.
Read opinions on mw4u at HoFo. People rave about the service. I'm very glad
I found it, because there's no way I'm paying $5 per month for the feature.
If I had to pay that much, I'd miss it, but I'd get over it.
BTW, I use it almost exclusively during "free time" (nights and weekends)
unless I NEED information from it at other times. Really handy to look up
phone numbers and directions when you're on the road. You can even check
your plane flight status when the weather turns to s$%t and all the 800#
lines are busy!!!
