I can't speak for VZW in particular but I know from past experience you
have to be very careful with call forwarding. It almost never works
out for the customer, because the cell companies don't want people
using it to do exactly what you're doing -- to trick them into giving
you free minutes to numbers you're not entitled to free minutes to.
For example, when I had SPCS they charged 10 cents a minute for
forwarded calls under all conditions -- even if you still had "free"
airtime left on the phone doing the forwarding.
At a minimum, VZW will probably charge the minutes to your phone,
saying that forwarding to your work phone is the same as calling your
work phone from your cell. They might even charge double minutes
(saying that forwarding a call is both an incoming and an outgoing
call).
Perhaps others can give more specific VZW advice, but I just warn you
to make sure you know EXACTLY how VZW will treat this before you try to
use it for a lot of minutes.
