#1 | | Guest | I currently have a LG - VX4400 & I'm edible for a replacement. Aside from
the features, how does the reception of the RAZR V3m compare. I barely get
just acceptable reception in my house now & wouldn't want to get a phone
that has worse performance.
Thanks

The RAZR V3c is known to have poor reception and the V3m is known to have
improved reception, but not great reception. I base this on phonescoop and
standing in line waiting to buy a phone (VX8300 .... highly recommended) at a
Verizon store recently. There was a woman in front of me complaining loudly
about how there is no reception on her RAZR, but they have already swapped it
twice (I believe she still has the V3c). Apparently the internal antenna
leaves a lot to be desired and the shell is aluminum.

What I really want to do is get a replacement phone (with at least as good
reception as the VX 4400) that will work with a dock-n-talk unit. Other than
the V3m phone there isn't a phone offered that will work out. Do you know of
any other systems similar to the dock-n-talk?

The Motorola E815 is still available at most stores. That has the best
reception of all Motorola phones. If you can't find one the V325 and
276 have excellent reception as well.

After a little more checking I found that the VX8300 is supported by the
dock-n-talk unit. Thanks again.

I really want a phone that will be supported by a docking station that can
connect to my house wiring. I don't have a land line & miss a lot of calls
because we can't hear the cell phone ring all the time. The E815 phone
seems to be the best bet.

The v325 has the best reception of any cell phone I've owned. Most,if not
all, previous cell phones had the built-in/stub antenna so the fact that the
v325 has an extendible antenna is a big plus. Also you can add ringtones by
recording them yourself via the speaker-phone that will be louder.Another
option is to add a couple baby-monitors to help with hearing the cell phone
ring.

#8 | | Guest | And you will be very happy with the VX8300. Great reception and sound
quality, solid build, and looks great. Pretty good battery life by today's
standards.

I have agree that the VX8300 is excellent. I just paid full retail for
my second line (girlfriend uses) and it is everything you said.
However I still have the V3C and it also gets great reception (I must
be lucky) When she broke the Samsung it was always hard to hear her
and it broke up allot in her neck of the woods. She lives in the
country and I live in the city. Now the calls are crystal clear. And
the Bluetooth ear pieces both work great when we speak. Kudos to the
LG phone and Motorola.
