No that has not been dropped. I just dropped my $24.99 (10 MB plan) with
Verizon to their Pay-As-You-Go data plan. From what I was told, whenever I
accessed data (internet or POP3 e-mail), I would be billed $0.015 per KB or
$15 per MB. So, if you were to use the data function of your phone more than
'sparingly' over the course of an average month, it would be wiser to go
with the $24.99 (10 MB plan) or the $44.99 (unlimited MB plan). I was also
told that when using the MMS function of the phone to send picture/video
based multi-media message, any time used to send that message would go
against your 'phone' minutes needed to send the MMS message (not the
Pay-As-You-Go KB rate). Hope this helps! The above explanation was told to
me by a Verizon rep just the other day.
