That's already been done by the salesman at the Verizon store.

So I just put on the ear thing and push the button?

few weeks ago. I have an LG vx8300. Pleased with the phone. Don't ask me
about the camera, V-Cast, GPS and the other stuff. <v>

Mostly yes. Typically you need to turn it on first. (Like your
phone, once it's on it'll stay on until you shut if off or the
battery dies.) That depends on the model, but usually you hold down
the button until you hear a beep or two. Once it's "on" then you tap
to answer, and tap to hangup. Holding down for awhile until you hear
a beep or two will typically power it off. (Something you do when
you're done using it- like at the end of the day.)

Re: Ideas for the phone

All phoens are hearing aid compaitble, i know because i'm hearing impaired.
I test every single of them, and one thing I've noticed that LG and samsung
has better hearing than motorola and others.

Actually, you only have to wait for two years if you want to save 50 or 100
bucks, of course you have to pay the monthly fees for the next 24 months...
Aren't you ummm "frugal"? isn't paying something like 24*$40 or spend $960
to save $50/$100?!??!!?!??! You can get new/never used ones off ebay right
now for about $169-$229, so it seems like you can save lots of money....

PS Ebay express is for buy it now stuff if you don't want to mess with
bidding.... See

I like my LG VX8300. It's a good phone. I have no problems with it. I
had responded to the OP who asked what we'd *like* to see in phones.

I'm not paying anything extra for the new in two program so I don't
understand your point. I also have no problems with the two-year
contract with Verizon. There isn't any other cell phone service that I'd
even consider, so why should I care about the contract?

They just gave me an additional 2,000 minutes for renewing my contract
even though I did it a month early to replace a broken phone. I get
great customer service, though, admittedly, I rarely call them because
everything is fine.

Sorry, I was going by what I assumed you meant, but explained differently ie
"I'll have to wait 2 years as I just got a new phone when my Moto broke a
few weeks ago. "
I thought you had just got a phone and it broke right after you got it, and
you were thinking you had to wait two years to get a new one for the
discount....

As Rosanne Rosanna Dana used to say on SNL... "Nevermind".......

Re: Ideas for the phone

I would like you to ship all phones with the original User Interface and to allow all OBEX/Bluetooth profiles. Also switch Verizon to a CDMA/GSM Network and have all handsets work off the CDMA and GSM network.

I would also like to see an enhanced voicemail system where you can have different mailboxes on one system so you can press 1 for work 2 for personal etc.

Also I would like all *86 calls to not use airtime as you are only calling your voicemail and not someone off the network. I don't get charged for checking my home voicemail so why should I get charged for my cellphone voicemail?

Also start the nights and weekends at 5 PM- 6-AM and also include holidays that fall on a weekday as a weekend.

I never used bluetooth so thats not something I know much
about but... A hetrogenious network that supports both GSM/CDMA...
Alltel and I had a discussion about that idea, don't count on it
happening anytime soon. While they do have one phone that does
GSM/CDMA, it defaults to CDMA while in the U.S as the GSM side only
probes for European frequencies. Besides that, do you REALLy want to
pay more for such a product? If you never roam outside the U.S it
would be like using a jackhammer to open a can of corn!
Of course, if your verizon network is both GSM/CDMA you can
go to Ebay, buy any unlocked GSM or CDMA phone and activate it.
CDMA phones would have to be E911 compatible and supported by Verizon.
Granted for encouraging competion and churn with AT&T Wireless its
perfect! the old At&T customer keeps their favorite GSM phone thats
unlocked, and moves over to Verizon. Verizon gets a new customer
with no new equipment being sold. Oh but then... if they live mostly
on equipment sales.... it would not be such a great idea.
