Voyager - EVDO - mobileTV + antenna

I was playing with the VZ Voyager the other day...

Noticed - as others have mentioned -
that the EV and 1XX icons in the top left corner
were bouncing back and forth while browsing.
The 2 tiny lines went away, and the 1XX replaced them in full font.
Not sure if it was running EV or 1XX, as only one line was displayed.
Will try a SpeakEasy speed test next time I play with the Voyager.

On another note - mobileTV -
Is this being transmitted over the data EVDO ?
Just curious, as the Voyager has a tiny pull-out full size antenna..
Wondering what it's for ????

Verizon uses 800 Mhz SELLular in most markets. The pullout
antenna, until you break it off because the stupid thing extends
upside down with the thinnest part at the phone end, should
greatly extend the range of 800 Mhz connections in the fringe
areas.

The stupids behind the counter didn't even know it HAD an
antenna, until I pulled it out and asked them about it. Nothing
like really knowing the products your selling to increase sales,
eh? The way it's made, upside down, is gonna be a great revenue
source for years to come replacing the broken off ones. It
doesn't flex or bend far...(c;

I'd like to publically apologize for sending you to the Speakeasy
Flash Player speed test site. Someone else posted that Voyager
doesn't have a flash player to run it. There are other speed
tests that don't use Flash you can try it on, though. I think
Voyager is capable of Javascripts to make them work.

The antenna is for mobile TV ONLY. It does not affect the cellular
signal at all.

Like I said above, the antenna is only for mobile TV. MobileTV plays on
the Voyager on widescreen view. Pull the antenna all the way out, and
rotate it so that it is pointing up when the phone is sideways (like
most TVs...)

dslreports.com's mobile speed test works fine (i get over 500kbps when I
test)

Also, the Voyager does have flash, but only for running local flash
files (flash games/apps stored on the phone) and not from the web
browser (it was actually discovered that the EZTipCalc and World Clock
apps were flash, so replace those with whatever flash game you want!)
