VZ contact backup - reliable?

I have an extra phone on Virgin Mobile with their Contacts Backup.
Wanted to use it to import contacts from Microsoft Outlook,
and then download to phone... also upload existing contacts for online
editing.
WELL... it only partially worked.
It wouldn't download/upload ALL contacts every time, it was a crap shoot,
so I never knew exactly what I had downloaded to the phone
or uploaded to the backup web page..

SO - how well does the VZ version of this application work ?

I would be interested in the same scenario....
Upload current contacts for safe keeping and editing.
Merge some form of existing (exported) contacts from Microsoft Outlook.
And, of course - every transmission MUST be reliable.

Backup Assistant works like a charm about 99% of the time. every once in a while it'll error out when backing up. when you posh from the web to the phone it always goes through. You can export the information to a spreadsheet but not to outlook. and the online editoe is decent enough.

tnx - I'm usually looking at loading the phone from my existing info...
ie - Outlook Express --> Export to CSV file --> somehow Import to Web
application
and then download to phone

Does the VZ web app have an "Import" function - so I could load it from my
existing text files ?

I installed the application on my wife's phone.
Kinda disappointed in a couple of areas:

phone -
only a daily setting vs a weekly check for local changes
or even better - manual vs auto-checking

web application -
I don't see any "export" function, only the "print",
and I would really like to "import" some entries from an external text file
so I don't have to manually re-enter all the family numbers.

Also - some way to "share" selected entries with another phone -
like with those in our family plan,
so again I don't have to re-enter those numbers manually.

Re: VZ contact backup assistant - missing features

What phone?

I have used MPT (Motorola) and it works with Outlook.

I think my LG program will too, but its been a while since I used it.

P.S. I'm gonna be looking for a Casio phone tools program soon I think.
I'm really seriously considering that waterproof G'zOne.
