SIM card question, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Lets say I am able to access all of my old deleted text messages from my T-
mobile II sidekick's SIM card, the one that came with the phone. Can anyone
please tell me how far back the archive would go, assuming I texted around 15
times per day and not more that one sentence texts? I'm trying to see if it's
worth it to pay the money to access them. Do you think it would go as far
back as February? I don't know much about SIM cards and I guess I just know
if they keep all data stored in them forever, or if it automatically 'clears'
itself every so often in order to hold more info. Please, please help me!!!

My understanding of the Sidekick is that the messages are stored on a
server somewhere. That's how Paris Hilton's was hacked. They didn't need
actual access to her device.

SIM chips do have memory in them, but it's pretty limited. Maybe only a
megabyte or so, possibly less. I doubt your text messages are stored there.
