Re: PhoneLabs Dock-N-Talk
I've got one, I'm underwhelmed. You have to make two cable connections
to use it with a Moto V710 and the phone has to be turned off after using it
to before you can use again. The Cellsocket and Cidco Merge were better
products. I managed to grind away enough of a T720 Cellsocket to use it with
the V710. The Dock-N-Talk might be better with Bluetooth.

As a Cellsocket user. I might have considered this product. but, it
turns out that the manufacturer indulges in newsgroup spamming, their
product must, obviouly, be garbage.

Re: PhoneLabs Dock-N-Talk
The reason you need to make 2 connections for Motorola CE Bus phones is
that without that, you cannot use Caller ID Call Waiting. Motorola CE
Bus phones cannot do simultaneous voice and data out the serial port.
It also becomes an issue for reliable dialing of touch-tones during a
call such as a call to a bank or airline IVR system. Motorola
themselves did the same thing with their bluetooth dongle. Also the
audio is much better out the audio jack.
Cell Socket is now out of business and Cidco has abandoned docking
stations.

Re: PhoneLabs Dock-N-Talk
Are you sure Cidco is out of the docking cradle business? There
website still shows the Merge as one of their lead products.
