t-mobile prepaid plan

hello,
my neighborhood has good t-mobile coverage. walmart sells a nokia 6010
for about 40 bucks but does not mention voicemail in any of the online
information. t-mobile website plan does mention the voicemail as
included, but is more expensive to start with. does anybody here know
if the t-mobile plan you get with a walmart purchase includes the
stuff like voice mail and caller-id or is that why walmart costs less
than a t-mobile website purchase. thanks for any help.

JoshIII responds:
Yes T-Mobile prepaid includes caller-id and voicemail.

The question is does it cost you airtime when someone leaves you a message
in your voicemail box?

and

Does it deduct your airtime if you turn off your cellphone, and access your
voice mail messages using your land line phone with T-Mobile?.

Chances are the answer is YES to both questions.

JoshIII responds:

Thats great!

Does T-Mobile prepaid roam on Cingular and Suncom networks?

T-Mobile prepaid also supports Mobile Web if the right model cellphone is
purchased.

I wish TracFone had the option for mobile web. Their v170 model has mobile
web
capability, but that feature is disabled with TracFone.

the thing i'm looking at is a 40 buck nokia 6010 at walmart. i'm wondering if anybody has
been down this road. i know via the t-mobile website that voicemail on the regular postpaid
accounts costs nothing to get and only costs airtime if you use the handset to check the
voicemail, which makes sense. what I don't know is if these walmart handsets offer different
services since the walmart website does not specifically state anything about voicemail.

Re: t-mobile prepaid plan

I did not buy my T2Go service at WalMart. I purchased it at a T-Mobile
store for a little extra cash, but got all my questions answered in
detail.

Yes, you are charged for Voicemail. Text messaging is free to receive
and 10 cents to send.

Are you sure of that? I just looked at the T-Mobile site, which said it was
10 sents to send and 5 cents to receive.

It's interesting that Target sells the same T-Mobile/Samsung t316 plan the
T-Mobile stores do for $10 more. Costco sells the same plans (only the 2
cheaper phones) for the same price, but adds an accessory package.
