    Default Vonage Fax Line

I assume that cellular fax is problematical.
    Anyone use vonage fax?

Not as reliable as a real/wired fax line, but it gets the job done.

My wife's been using a Vonage fax line for about 6 months...

    So far, no problems.

Not at all -- Even if it goes over VoIP, Vonage and other VoIP companies
use lossy compression codecs, and don't guarantee bandwidth.

When you make a call using a telco that goes over VoIP on the backend
(or even just other T1/T3/OC3/faster links which run both voice and data
across the same physical links), the bandwidth is guaranteed.

I'm going to make the switch as soon as I pay off the installation
    fee for the 2nd line.

My combined basic fee for 2 lines is $31 with free caller id and call
waiting and conference calls on both lines.

So why am I being charged $68 for the 2 lines when you add up all the
fees. That's excluding long distance and installation fee.

Does vonage add all those undecipherable fees?

Good bye and good riddance to SBC/ATT and their outrageous add on
    fees.

My line (the Unlimited Plan) costs me $27.24 per month, including
all taxes. My wife's lines (the Unlimited Plan + a fax line) cost
her $39.03 per month, including all taxes.

I was under the impression that two lines costs twice as much as one
line... How'd you get two lines for $31? Are you not talking Unlimited
    Plans?

Those fee are taxes that have not be levied "YET" to internet calling.
If enought people switch and fees to the feds decline they will then tax
    these services.

    How?, you say.
Call up sbc/at&t and tell them you are going to voip and they will
drag out their deals. One of their ongoing deals was a $31 fee for
    full service on two lines.

OK, *now* I understand. I thought you were talking about Vonage
    giving you a $31 deal.
