VZW still shows the North America's Choice plan, at least according to
some of their web pages. It makes Canada (and parts of Mexico) part of
the subscriber's home area, so calls to and from Canada don't incur
roaming or long distance charges.
Are they the only carrier to offer such a plan to subscribers who don't
live near the border? I think AT&T and T-Mobile used to, but I can't
find any evidence of that now. |
I looked into this in the summer and could find nothing else. As I recall the VZ plan was impractical to combine with a family plan. I ended up with TMobile because its Canada roaming charge (.49) was less than others.
ATT had a $10 mo. add on which would have been great. But no more ATT-- no more plan.
But I'm still looking for some way to reduce the use of mobile ohone use both in Canada and Canada US
