I am a cingular customer and my boss is as well so I have my own
SIM card and
phone number...My boss just gave me a Motorola V551/Cingular phone that was
used previously by a former employee under a different
SIM/telephone number...
Here's my problem, in the memory of the phone the old password code still
exists and I am unable to use most of the features on the phone. It is locked
up tight... I called Cingular, went into thier offices and no one seems to
know WHERE I can get the codes/passwords erased, I did obtain an upgraded
SIM
card for this new phone at the time, but the woman helping me said to call
Cingular again! (I was told on the phone by Motorola that I need to have the
phone re-flashed...but no one knows where I can have this done in my area!)
Can anyone help me please?
I also had to recase the phone which I did and saw that there is a small
button cell battery on the board for the memory... Would temporarily removing
this battery erase this memory? Or would it completely remove any and ALL
info that the phone needs to access my network?
I would appreciate any info, Thanks!
